Edgeworthstown has a rich heritage, drawn from its association with the famous Edgeworth family and many more historical figures. With our guided walks we offer you an opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Maria Edgeworth and her family, Oliver Goldsmith, Sir Walter Scott, William Wordsworth and Oscar Wilde.

Meeting point is at the Maria Edgeworth Centre

The tour will bring you to the following landmarks 

St. Mary's Church, the Manor (Edgeworth family home), - Walled Garden, - the Rectory, - St. John's Church & Graveyard, - finishing with a visit to the Maria Edgeworth Centre

Starting point is at the Maria Edgeworth Centre where your guide will meet you. We ask that people be there 15 minutes before the tour starts and check in at the reception building.

The guided walking tour finishes at the Maria Edgeworth Centre. 

Comfortable footwear and weather wear recommended.

There are several possibilities:

1. at the Maria Edgeworth Centre

2. across the road from the Maria Edgeworth Centre at "the Green" (bus parking available)

3. at the back of the library (bus parking available)
